So being the curious person that I am, I decided to look up the meaning of a word. The word I was curious about was segregation, now read this carefully and give it some thought. The definition of segregation is; the policy of separating people of different races, classes or ethnic groups. Now it wasn't right when public schools were segregated, and it wasn't right when restaurants and other public facilities were segregated. So then why is it right when institutions rise up in the interest of certain races or belief systems that cater to only their own? It is a valid question, not asked with any malice. If we are all striving to understand each other and learn to get along, then how does the Miss Black America, or BET or whatever promote the ability of all Americans to get along? I am only naming these organizations because they are the only ones I could think of, not because I am trying to single anyone out. Not every comment or point that has to be made, is made with hatred behind it. This is just something to think about. Some of the things that we should all think about when you talk about equality, that means everyone makes concessions for others, not just one race, or one kind of person. By the way, the picture above is of my grandson, I am sure if you look at some of my earlier postings, you will find a picture of me.
